Good one for the ladies
Topic: Fashion
Ok, so ladies.... lets say you have an elegent night out on the town. You are forced to wear a formal dress. Well, what accessories do you wear to complement that dress?

PEARLS: Pearls are a no-brainer for preppy sweaters and wedding days. But they make a grand statement with formal dresses, too. Mix long strands of pearls with gold or silver chains or choose a large-size pearl necklace to wear with a strapless dress.
No need to match necklace and earrings: pair a pearl necklace with diamonds, gold, silver or colored stones for a less matronly look than a matchy-matchy set would give.

BRACELET: The best way to accent a sleevless or strapless dress is with an armful of bangle bracelets. Mix rhinestone or diamond bracelets with gold or silver.

NECKLACE: Coco Chanel made long, layered necklaces the epitome of chic. Now, evening wear has adopted the look, with long strands of pearls or metal chains layered over a strapless dress.

GLOVES: Add a ladylike touch to your formal dress or suit with a pair of pretty gloves. Shorter gloves go great with bracelet-length, short sleeve or sleeveless styles. Longer elbow-length gloves match well with sleeveless and strapless styles.

SHOES: Metallics have made an appearance on everything from bags to blouses, but gold, silver or bronze shoes are timeless classics. Not only are they perfect with neutrals and pastels, they spark up tame colors like black or gray.

With these new tips, you should wear a formal dress and be sure to impress!

Other's Dress To Live.... He Lives To Dress
Topic: fashion tips
So, we wonder what is hot, and what is not? What is the latest styles and dresswear? Well this should help everyone out. Posts will be submitted with tips, suggestions, and facts on how you should be styling for the occasion!

We'll start off today by introducing some information on how to wear scarfs!

With fall in full effect and winter on the way, it's time to address one of the burning issues of our age....yes, we're talking about how to wear your scarf. First off, remember that scarves are like sunglasses, for outside use only. Or so our well informed sources tell us. "The worst are the guys who take their scarf and coat off when they get inside, then put the scarf back on," says Mark I. the owner of The Subway. "It just looks ridiculous." Second, don't be afraid of a little color (provided, of course, that you're not matching your scarf to your gloves). And finally, how you tie a scarf does matter. As in all things sartorial, there's a fine line between looking well put together, and disturbingly affected. Below, five knot options explained, in descending level of preference:

The Wrap-Around (above middle): A good choice for this season's longer scarves. Note: Once around the neck is enough—you're going for a donut here, not a cinnamon swirl.

The Hoxton: A basic overhand knot named for a neighborhood in London that was trendy a couple of years back. Good for wearing under high-lapel coats or a Boateng tweed blazer.

The Euro (above left): The popped collar of knots—in other words, strictly for the 29-and-under crowd. Works well with shorter wool or cashmere scarves.

The Traditional Drape: Apropros when wearing an old-school overcoat, which is why your dad does it. Yawn.

The Drama Teacher (above right): Perfect for a silk scarf and black turtleneck—indoors and out. In other words, to be avoided at all costs.

Hope everyone learned a lesson today. Also stay in touch to learn more styles and suggestions for upcomming GEAR.
